During the 6th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, a panel session titled "AI’s impact on Cultural Heritage and Diversity" was held with the organizational support of the C4İR Azerbaijan. The session focused on the impact of artificial intelligence on culture and creativity.
In her opening speech, Gabriela Ramos, UNESCO's Assistant Director-General for Social and Human Sciences, called this panel one of the event's most important topics. She urged participants to reflect on the safety of AI and the positive and negative changes it may bring in the future, emphasizing that technologies should be aimed at benefiting people.
The panel session, moderated by Israeli technology and innovation expert Tal Katran, highlighted how AI is establishing its place in the fields of culture and creativity, just as it has in other areas.
Fariz Jafarov, Executive Director of 4SIM, provided detailed information on projects related to artificial intelligence being implemented in Azerbaijan.
Serdar Korkmaz, Creative Director of Turkey’s "Alegori Studio," shared his thoughts on AI's support for human creativity, stating that societal changes are inevitable.
Pau Garcia, Director of Spain's "Domestic Data Streamers," stressed that when discussing artificial intelligence, both its effective benefits and the risks and dangers it may bring should be considered. He noted that AI has become a key assistant in the cultural field.
Rashad Azizov, Head of the Creative Industries and Digital Development Department at the Ministry of Culture, pointed out that AI presents a challenge for all of us. He added that new fields, directions, and cultural examples are emerging as a result of artificial intelligence.
