At the initiative of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR), a briefing session was held for representatives of SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic) on the World Economic Forum's Global Collaboration Village (GCV) platform.
During the session, the capabilities and features of the platform were thoroughly presented, followed by a virtual tour in the metaverse for the SOCAR representatives. During this tour, participants had the opportunity to explore the "Advanced Manufacturing and Supply Chain Hub" section of the platform, as well as the pavilions of other energy companies.
Subsequently, both parties engaged in discussions on potential areas of collaboration.
The "Global Collaboration Village" is the world's first extended reality platform, designed to bring leaders together to solve real-world problems through virtual reality. The project is a joint initiative of the World Economic Forum, Village Accenture, and Microsoft. More than 142 companies are currently partnering with this platform. One of the key contributors to the platform’s development is the 4th Industrial Revolution Analysis and Coordination Center under the Ministry of Economy.
