At the event held in connection with the completion of the pilot phase of the '4SI Academy' project, it was emphasized that within the program, 10,000 people benefited from nearly 800 courses on Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies on the 'Coursera' online education platform for free over the course of one year. It was stated that the project will continue as a 'National Program.'
An event was held in connection with the completion of the pilot phase of the '4SI Academy' project, which was jointly implemented by the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) under the Ministry of Economy, the Education Development Fund (EDF) under the Ministry of Science and Education, and the U.S. company 'Coursera.'
Fariz Jafarov, Executive Director of C4IR, emphasized that the academy has contributed to the development of knowledge and skills in Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies in the country and to the preparation of qualified personnel in this field for the labor market. During the project, 10,000 people benefited from nearly 800 courses on the 'Coursera' online education platform for free over the course of one year, including courses on 4IR technologies, artificial intelligence, data analytics, blockchain and cloud technologies, programming languages, leadership, and communication skills. Participants took part in more than 32,000 hours of video lectures, and those who successfully completed the training obtained a total of 4,300 international certificates.
It was stated that the '4SI Academy' project will continue as a 'National Program.' This time, the program will cover 200,000 citizens, including all 8,000 courses offered on the 'Coursera' platform. Unlike the pilot project, where courses were only available in English, within the framework of the 'National Program,' all courses will be accompanied by Azerbaijani subtitles. Additionally, the 20 most in-demand courses will be narrated in Azerbaijani using artificial intelligence.
Starting this year, the AI-based 'Coursera Coach' personalized guide function will be available on the education platform. Through this guide, users will receive information about courses tailored to their education and career goals. Additionally, the 'Hiring Solutions' tool will be accessible to employers in Azerbaijan. Through this tool, companies will be able to access information about individuals who have completed courses relevant to the knowledge and skills they require, and invite them for job opportunities.
Elnur Nasibov, Chairman of the Board of the Education Development Fund, stated that users have benefited from the educational programs offered by prestigious universities and companies worldwide within the framework of the '4SI Academy.' It was noted that the offered courses not only enhance users' technical skills but also help develop their leadership and communication skills.
Nicolas Foucault, Executive Director for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region at 'Coursera,' noted that the platform, with more than 148 million users, offers online courses and training from the world's leading universities and advanced technology companies. He highlighted that Azerbaijani users have actively participated in the courses within the project framework, showing particular interest in digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and business-oriented training.
It should be noted that the '4SI Academy' was awarded the 'Outstanding Achievement Award' in the 'Artificial Intelligence' category after being selected from among 180 projects submitted by 42 countries in a competition held by the 'Coursera' company in September of this year.
During the event, graduates of the '4SI Academy' shared their success stories with the participants. Certificates were presented to graduates who achieved high accomplishments.
