"4IR Academy" Wins the "Outstanding Achievement Award 2024"

"4SI Academy" has been selected as the winner in the "Artificial Intelligence Innovation" category of the "Outstanding Achievement Award 2024" competition organized by the U.S.-based company, Coursera.

 

The "4IR Academy," implemented through the collaboration of the Center of Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) under the Ministry of Economy and the Education Development Fund under the Ministry of Science and Education, has won in the "Artificial Intelligence Innovation" category of Coursera's "Outstanding Achievement Award 2024" competition. "4SI Academy" was recognized for its active promotion of knowledge and skills in the field of artificial intelligence, its contributions to preparing qualified personnel for the labor market, developing digital skills, enhancing knowledge in advanced technologies, and implementing innovative solutions. The project was selected from over 180 initiatives submitted by 42 countries that partner with Coursera.

 

The award was presented to the Executive Director of C4IR, Fariz Jafarov, by Andrew Ng, co-founder and chairman of Coursera and professor at Stanford University, during the "Coursera Connect" event held on September 17 in Las Vegas, USA. At the conference, Jafarov delivered a presentation about "4IR Academy" and shared the project's success story with the participants.

 

It was noted that the goal of "4SI Academy" is to support the development of digital skills in the country, enhance knowledge in advanced technologies, and prepare qualified personnel for the labor market. Over the course of one year, 10,000 individuals across the country benefited from the Coursera online education platform free of charge. Users attended more than 32,000 hours of video lectures on topics such as 4SI technologies, artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, data analytics, blockchain and cloud technologies, programming languages, as well as leadership, communication, business, management, and other fields. More than 4,000 international certificates were awarded to those who successfully completed the training. The project is set to continue as a "National Program," where 200,000 citizens will be provided with opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills in the technologies of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

 

Coursera, the world's most popular educational platform, annually presents the "Outstanding Achievement Award" to partners who achieve significant success in human capital development. The selection criteria are based on the number of individuals engaged in online education on the platform, the international certificates earned, career advancements made as a result of new knowledge, and other indicators.
