The sessions were held within the "Trends in the Fourth Industrial Revolution" event

The sessions were held within the event on “Trends in the Fourth Industrial Revolution”, dedicated to the opening of Azerbaijan center of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Network of the World Economic Forum.  The Internet of things, artificial intelligence, big data and the development of national strategy in these fields were discussed, and the questions of the participants were answered at the sessions, which were attended by the representatives of state agencies, the World Economic Forum, scientific and educational institutions, private sector and experts.

Efe Erdem, executive director of Technological center of the Union of employers of the metal industry of Turkey (MESS), the head of the Center of the Fourth Industrial Revolution of Turkey, highly appreciated the establishment of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Azerbaijan, as well Azerbaijan center of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Network of the World Economic Forum, events held in the field of the application of new technologies, and wished the success to the Center. Emphasizing the importance of the event in terms of discussing the processes and innovations in the field of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on a global scale, Efe Erdem informed the participants about the fields of activity of the Center, managed by him, as well the work performed in the Fourth Industrial Revolution Technologies in Turkey.            

At the "Network access and coordination of the Internet of things devices” session, Ali Kuruju, the director of the Internet of things and mobility technological management of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution of Turkey; Fuad Aliyev, deputy head of the Information technologies and communications department of SOCAR; and Ozgur Gench, CEO on the Information and technologies of “Azerconnect” company, made speeches on the benefits of the Internet of things for industry and business, the use of these technologies based on the fields of activity of the companies, cooperation of the GSM companies with the clients representing the business field related to the application of the Internet of things, their speeches about the application of Turkish practice were heard and the questions of the participants were answered.

At the "National strategy on Artificial intelligence: Global practices" session, in presence of Sertach Yerlikaya, the representative of the Ministry of Industry and Technologies of Turkey, a member of Executive committee of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution of Turkey; Aleksey Sidoryuk, the head of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution of Russia on artificial intelligence issues; etc., the preparation level of the governments to artificial intelligence, the goals determined for national artificial intelligence strategies, the difficulties occurred in this process and their solutions, the partnership between private and public sectors, national artificial intelligence ecosystem and other matters were discussed, the presentations were implemented, as well the questions were answered related to the practices of the leading companies of Turkey, Russia, the UAE in mentioned fields.  

The workshop related to the "Artificial Intelligence Procurement Manual" was held within the event. The “Artificial Intelligence Procurement Manual” project was presented during the workshop, held in presence of Uber Xelop, the head of Artificial intelligence platform of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Network of the World Economic Forum; and Ulvi Shukurzada, the specialist of the Project Management Department of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

It should be noted that the project “Artificial Intelligence Procurement Manual” project was designed by the World Economic Forum. The project offers the companies right and transparent methods for the process of the procurement of artificial intelligence and data-based technologies. At the same time, the project provides a guidebook designed to master artificial intelligence technology in public sector through public procurements and a range of the tools related to the application of artificial intelligence technologies.

Rafael Fassio, the representative of Artificial intelligence platform of Brazilian Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution; and Klara Langevin, the artificial intelligence project manager joined the event virtually, shared their experiences and answered the questions of the participants.
