The Organization of Turkic States Technology Forum brought together representatives from member countries to strengthen cooperation across start-up, innovation and technology ecosystems.

Fariz Jafarov, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM) under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy, participated in the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Technology Forum held in Tashkent as part of ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026.

The Forum focused on strengthening links between the start-up and innovation ecosystems of OTS member states, expanding cooperation among technology parks and innovation institutions, supporting start-ups in accessing new markets, attracting venture investment and advancing joint initiatives.

Discussions also highlighted opportunities to deepen regional collaboration by connecting innovation ecosystems, investors, technology institutions and emerging companies across the Turkic states.

The initiative to establish the Technology Forum was proposed by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev during the informal Summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States held in Turkistan, Kazakhstan, on 15 May 2026.

ICT Week Uzbekistan 2026 serves as an international platform bringing together government institutions, technology and innovation centres, start-up and venture ecosystems, investors and global technology companies to explore new partnerships and opportunities for digital and technological cooperation.
