A briefing was conducted regarding the '4IR Academy' project, which is being implemented through the collaborative efforts of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution under the Ministry of Economy, the Education Development Fund under the Ministry of Science and Education, and the U.S. company 'Coursera.'

Fariz Jafarov, the Acting Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution provided media representatives with insights into the purpose of the '4IR Academy' project. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan's goal is to achieve five National Priorities for the country's socio-economic development by 2030. One of these priorities is to cultivate a competitive human capital and foster an environment for modern innovations. This objective seeks to enhance access to high-quality education, align workforce training with labor market demands, and provide specialized training leading to international certifications within the framework of vocational training system development.

The primary focus of the '4IR Academy' project is the development of digital skills. Fariz Jafarov announced that the project offers tuition-free scholarships to approximately 10,000 individuals who have applied for the program. Over the course of one year, participants will have access to more than 700 courses spanning 89 specialized sub-categories, including programming, artificial intelligence, big data, digital transformation, machine learning, blockchain, and cloud technologies, as well as coding, data analytics, leadership, and communication. These courses are offered by leading universities and companies worldwide through Coursera, the United States' premier educational platform.

During the initial registration period from August 23 to September 7, a total of 6,654 individuals registered with the '4IR Academy.

Elnur Nasibov, Chairman of the Board of the Education Development Fund, informed about the work done by the institution he represents within the framework of the "C4IR Academy" project. The fund ensured the recognition of the project in higher education institutions, being informed of scientific-pedagogical staff members and students. At the same time, volunteers were involved in the project with the support of "One Volunteer" Students Cooperation Public Union. Special training will be given to the volunteers by the "Coursera" company, and a certificate will be presented after the completion of the internship program.

Chad Pasha, the head of the Public Sector for Asia and the Pacific Ocean of the "Coursera" company, said that 129 million users are registered on the "Coursera" online platform, and 125,000 users from our country are currently registered and studying on this platform.
