C4IR has published its annual report for 2023

The Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution under the Ministry of Economy has published its annual report reflecting the activities of the institution for 2023. Comprising seven comprehensive sections, the document features a preface from the institution's head, details on the execution of C4IR projects, collaborations with the World Economic Forum, engagements with local and international organizations, a rundown of events and meetings conducted, efforts in alignment with the New Generation Economy Strategy, and future perspectives.

 

Fariz Jafarov, the executive director of 4SIM, emphasized the dual nature of the opportunities and challenges presented by the fourth industrial revolution. He underscored significant advances in the integration of advanced technologies and the strengthening of digital transformation during the year.

 

Acting as both organizer and partner, the Center participated in over 50 initiatives and more than 30 local and international events in 2023. The institution played a pivotal role in applying Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies to the national economy and formulating the New Generation Economy Strategy. Collaboration with Coursera, an international educational platform, resulted in approximately 7,000 citizens registering to enhance their digital knowledge. Additionally, higher education institutions in the country gained access to the World Economic Forum's "Strategic Intelligence" platform, as well as "4SIM talks" events related to the 4th industrial revolution took place.

 

C4IR's team contributed significantly to research in various sectors, producing research papers on "Successful solutions for the application of 4IR technologies in the national economy", and the application of 4IR technologies in Media, Agriculture, Health, Education, Energy, and Ports. Special mention should be made of the 4SIM chatbot related to the country's legislation, the 4IR solutions in customs, and the projects to strengthen the competitive advantages of Azerbaijani wrestlers by applying digital solutions.

 

In 2023, 50 students from nine different universities secured internships in C4IR projects, engaging in research related to 4IR technologies and providing support for various events.
