Training Session Concludes Under the "ArcGIS for Students" Program

The training session under the "ArcGIS for Students" program, a joint initiative of the Center for the Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) and Esri, one of the world’s leading companies in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), has successfully concluded. The session, led by GIS experts from Azercosmos, focused on practical skills related to real work processes.

 

During the closing ceremony, Fariz Mammadov, the Vice-Rector for International Relations at the Azerbaijan Technical University, welcomed the participants and expressed gratitude for their active participation in the training sessions.

 

Soltan Bayramov, Deputy Executive Director of C4IR, highlighted the organization’s efforts in developing human capital in Industry 4.0, emphasizing its importance for the future workforce.

 

Ilgar Abdullayev, the Advisor on Space Law to the Chairman of the Board at Azercosmos, remarked that the program provided students with valuable real-world knowledge. He noted the growing demand for skilled professionals in GIS, both in Azerbaijan and globally, opening up new opportunities for young people.

 

The training sessions, held at Azerbaijan Technical University, were attended by students from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, the Baku Higher Oil School, and the Azerbaijan Technical University. Participants gained hands-on experience in working with spatial data, practical use of the ArcGIS Pro application, and the application of GIS technologies.

 

At the conclusion of the program, certificates were awarded to those who successfully completed the training.
