An engaging “4SIM Talks” session themed “Careers of the Future” was recently held at Baku European Lyceum, bringing together students, educators, and industry experts to explore the evolving world of work shaped by emerging technologies.
Organized by the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM), the event aimed to inform and inspire young learners about the skills and professions of tomorrow in light of rapidly advancing technologies.
Zulfiya Veysova, Director of Baku European Lyceum, opened the event by underlining the importance of such initiatives in guiding students toward informed career choices in a changing world.
Fariz Jafarov, Executive Director of 4SIM, introduced the audience to the center’s mission, ongoing projects, and practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) across diverse sectors in Azerbaijan.
Industry leaders also took the stage to share their expertise:

Abdullali Aliyev, Head of Data Engineering at Pasha Bank, presented on generative AI and its strategic importance for industries and innovation.

Rafiq Alverdiyev, Director of Sabah Lab Accelerator and Incubation Center, spoke about Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies and how they are reshaping the professional landscape.
The event also featured motivational talks:

Shahin Khalilov, founder of the Edtesk startup, and

Yusif Karimli, lead organizer of NASA Space Apps Baku 2024, shared their personal success stories, encouraging students to pursue bold ideas and embrace innovation.
In addition to students and faculty from Baku European Lyceum, attendees included participants from other secondary schools across the city. The event concluded with a lively Q&A session, giving students the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers.
