On June 19, 2025, the Baku ID Innovation Festival officially began, organized by the SABAH.HUB Innovation Center with the Center for the Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR Azerbaijan) as a key partner under the Ministry of Economy.
In his opening remarks, Rahim Bayramli, CEO of SABAH.HUB, stated that Azerbaijan has entered a new phase in its innovation agenda. He announced that construction of the SABAH.city project has already begun, and this modern innovation hub will host the Baku ID 2026 event. This initiative is expected to accelerate the region’s technological development and further establish Azerbaijan as a strong innovation center.
Speaking on artificial intelligence, emerging skills, and the future workforce, Fariz Jafarov, Executive Director of C4IR Azerbaijan, shared insights about the center’s mission. He emphasized that the projects implemented by C4IR provide young people with opportunities to engage with global trends and innovations through international forums. The center also leads initiatives supporting human capital development by organizing training sessions focused on enhancing technological knowledge, presentation skills, and professional growth for young specialists.
Farhad Pashayev, a board member of SABAH.HUB, highlighted the strategic importance of the event within Azerbaijan’s innovation agenda.
This year’s festival features over 32 local and international investors, more than 75 startups from Azerbaijan and abroad, 4,000+ participants, and 21+ partners. Baku ID offers vast opportunities for investors, startups, and guests to build new partnerships, participate in dynamic networking, and hold productive meetings that foster real collaboration.
As per tradition, the festival also hosts representatives from leading government institutions and prestigious organizations.
One of the most exciting parts of the festival is the startup competition, which showcases the region’s most promising and innovative projects. These competitions create valuable opportunities for young entrepreneurs to connect with global investors and turn their ideas into reality.
The event also presents significant opportunities for talented students. During the "University Demo Day," students will showcase their innovative projects to investors and have a chance to win scholarships provided by ABB Tech Academy.
This year, the festival is held at Jolly Joker Baku and the Stone Chronicle Museum, and is themed “The Regional Nexus.” The focus is on fostering innovative and technological cooperation among the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa.
