With the support of the Ministry of Economy, the Centre for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR Azerbaijan) has launched the technology assessment phase of the “Industry 4.0 Readiness Program.” The programme targets production-oriented and export-capable industrial enterprises, supporting their digital transformation and technological advancement.
Comprehensive Analysis of Industrial Capabilities
During the assessment process, enterprises’ manufacturing operations, procurement and supply chain management, logistics, and other core business functions are analysed to determine their Industry 4.0 maturity level.
This stage includes interviews with key stakeholders, an evaluation of existing IT infrastructure and applied technologies, and the identification of gaps and risks that could hinder digital transformation. Based on these findings, specific areas for technological application are identified and prioritised according to strategic importance.
This data-driven approach enables companies to make informed investment decisions and develop value-oriented and strategic transformation roadmaps tailored to their operational needs.
Independent Evaluation and Roadmap Development
Conducted by an independent team of experts, the diagnostic process takes five to eight weeks. At the end of the evaluation, each participating company receives a validated roadmap for its technological transformation journey.
Amid the rapid pace of digitalisation and the growing demands of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), the programme aims to facilitate the integration of advanced technologies into local enterprises, increase operational efficiency, foster innovation, and enhance competitiveness-contributing to the broader development of Azerbaijan’s economy.
Structured Support for Sustainable Transformation
Within the framework of the programme:
- Companies’ technological readiness levels are evaluated using an international methodology;
- Tailored transformation roadmaps are developed based on each company’s specific needs;
- During implementation, enterprises receive both financial and expert support.
Adopting Industry 4.0 technologies provides companies with major advantages - from optimising engineering and operational costs to improving productivity and product quality. These transformations help businesses operate more agilely, competitively, and sustainably.
Building on a Successful Pilot Phase
The pilot phase, completed successfully in 2024, supported the technological transformation of Metak, Azerfloat, and STP Global Cable.
Following this success, a new phase has begun to engage enterprises from diverse sectors, including manufacturing, mining, construction, and agriculture.
Participation in the Industry 4.0 Readiness Program is free of charge, and interested companies can register via the platform www.industry4.az.
