The interface of the “Nation Program” offered through the Coursera online learning platform under the 4IR Academy has now been launched in the Azerbaijani language.
Implemented with the support of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR Azerbaijan) under the Ministry of Economy, this initiative aims to make the learning experience more seamless and accessible for all citizens. The introduction of a fully localised interface significantly expands access to global knowledge, enabling broader and more inclusive learning opportunities for Azerbaijani users.
Previously, over 2,500 courses within the Nation Program were made available with Azerbaijani subtitles, while 15 of the most in-demand courses were dubbed using “deep fake” voice technology. (List of dubbed courses: https://bit.ly/4ogG5Mw)
Since April of this year, nearly 45,000 citizens have benefited from free access to Coursera’s learning catalogue through the Nation Program, collectively completing more than 71,000 courses. The initiative is delivered in partnership with C4IR Azerbaijan and the Education Development Fund under the Ministry of Science and Education.
The Program aims to develop advanced skills in Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, accelerate the country’s transition to a digital economy, and strengthen the supply of qualified specialists in emerging fields of the labour market.
Through Coursera, participants gain access to more than 13,000 courses and professional programmes from over 375 leading universities and global technology companies, including Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, Yale, Duke, London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Michigan, Johns Hopkins, Illinois, Florida, Sydney, as well as Microsoft, Google, Meta, IBM, AWS, Oracle, GitLab, Intel, SAP, Salesforce, and Siemens.
All Azerbaijani citizens—regardless of age or employment status—can register via https://form.4sim.gov.az to benefit from this opportunity.
The Program is implemented in partnership with leading companies such as SOCAR, PASHA Holding, bp, JOCAP and Azerconnect Group.
