As part of the third phase of the Nation Program, the first cohort of learners has completed more than 15,000 courses on the Coursera online learning platform, while over 4,000 new users have gained access to the program.
Since June, more than 4,000 learners have benefited from six weeks of free access to Coursera under the third phase of the 4IR Academy – Nation Program.
During this period, participants enrolled in more than 31,000 courses and successfully completed over 15,000, resulting in a completion rate of more than 48%. This is three times higher than the rate recorded across comparable global programs.
The most frequently completed courses focused on artificial intelligence and machine learning, leadership and management, data analytics, business and education.
The 4IR Academy – Nation Program is jointly implemented by the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM) under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy, the State Agency for Science and Higher Education under the Ministry of Science and Education, and US-based Coursera.
The program aims to strengthen knowledge and skills related to Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, accelerate the transition towards a digital economy, and support the development of competitive human capital aligned with the evolving needs of the labour market.
Participants have access to more than 21,000 courses developed by nearly 380 leading universities and technology companies worldwide. These include Stanford University, the University of Oxford, Yale University, Duke University, the University of Michigan and the University of London, as well as global technology and education providers such as Google, IBM, Microsoft, Meta, Amazon Web Services and DeepLearning.AI.
A total of 3,250 courses are also available with Azerbaijani-language subtitles, helping expand access to high-quality international learning opportunities.
The program is implemented through a public-private partnership model. PASHA Holding, SOCAR, TotalEnergies, XRG, JOCAP, Norm Cement, Smart Solutions Group and B2B Group are supporting the third phase of the programme as part of their corporate social responsibility initiatives.
Any Azerbaijani citizen, regardless of age or place of residence, can apply to join the program through form.4sim.gov.az.
