The Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM), operating under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, and Azersun Holding have discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation in technological transformation, the adoption of advanced technologies and the acceleration of industrial modernization.
The discussions took place during a meeting between Fariz Jafarov, Executive Director of 4SIM, and Savas Uzan, Chief Executive Officer of Azersun Holding.
The meeting focused on potential areas of cooperation under the Digital Economy Development Support Programme, including the adoption of advanced technologies across Azersun Holding’s enterprises, the optimization of production processes and opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
Implemented with the support of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy, the Digital Economy Development Support Programme is designed to accelerate digital transformation and the adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies across local enterprises. The programme supports companies in upgrading production and management processes, deploying innovative solutions and strengthening productivity and competitiveness.
As part of efforts to expand technological capabilities and improve the efficiency of manufacturing operations, Sun Tea LLC and AzerSud LLC, both part of Azersun Holding, have joined the programme.
The discussions also explored the transformation of these enterprises in line with Industry 4.0 principles, including assessments of their current technological capabilities, opportunities for deploying digital solutions and potential pathways for further development.
The two sides additionally discussed opportunities to support the innovation ecosystem, strengthen human capital and develop new joint initiatives.
Expanding cooperation across these areas is expected to support the technological transformation of industrial enterprises, improve production efficiency and technological readiness, and contribute to strengthening the overall competitiveness of Azerbaijan’s economy.
